The title comes from the text showing through in the ginger jar. Beneath the paint and showing through is a page from a vintage The Golden Book Encyclopedia for children about Michelangelo. I love to use layers as a way of thinking about the way we see and how it is wrapped up in the way we think.

The sides are white and it is signed on the front and signed and titled on the back.
