I have a collection of ginger jars that often turn up in my still-life paintings. This one is unusual because instead of round, it’s an oval. The flowers are an assortment of ones from my garden and some from photos. I love being able to incorporate whatever takes my fancy, including a bird-themed wallpaper. The more I paint, the more freedom I feel.
