We had foxes this spring that made studio life especially exciting. I wanted the movement of the shapes and colors to dance.

Underlying my artistic expression is a desire to inhabit the present moment, an invitation to rejoice in its beauty while remaining conscious of past challenges and future uncertainties. By incorporating vintage collage papers, I symbolically convey the act of holding onto a precious, fleeting moment, acknowledging the passage of time and the ever-changing nature of the future.

The polka dots, a recurring element in my work, signifies both a sense of order and the potential for transcendence. They serve as a visual representation of the possibilities that lie beyond the constraints of our reality, inviting viewers to contemplate the transformative power that exists within.

Through this artwork, I hope to inspire a sense of gratitude and wonder, encouraging viewers to embrace the present while maintaining a mindful awareness of the complexities inherent in our human experience.
